Curriculum

Kirsten Mogensen is an associate professor in journalism and in her research she focuses on journalism norms, values and philosophy as seen from a professional perspective. Most of her publications are based on interview with journalism role models. She has interviewed journalists who covered the events on September 11, 2001 for the major American networks (in cooperation with scholars from Manship School of Mass Communication, LA) and journalists who cover innovation in Silicon Valley (in cooperation with Dr. David Nordfors from Stanford Center for Innovation and Communication). She is also interested in exploring the concept of "Holistic Communication Research" inspired by the writings of cell biologist Bruce Lipton. Mogensen has been a working journalists for many years, working on print as well as in broadcast. She is a graduate from the Danish School of Journalism and has also studied with University of Minnesota Graduate School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
