Research and education information

Research

In the Ph.d thesis "The Guided Tour - An Intercultural Co-produced Tourism Experience". I apply a constuctivist, processual and performance oriented approach when exploring the strategies and tactics adopted and developped by tourists and guides on guided tours. I have focus on interactions and how the interactions influence the production of the tourism experience. I use video in my field work. My present research project is a qualitative comparative exploration of guides´working life in an range of European countries; Denmark, Italy and France with focus on career path, status/recognition and gender. teaching

Intercultural communication and cultural mediation in tourism. Lecturer and tutor in connection with pilote projects at Tourist Guide Diploma Programme.
